Jacob Miller and Kenneth Paul Salva stars in a new indie film "Bola" directed by Lemuel Lorca and written by Jerry B. Gracio who wrote indie film "Muli". The movie stars Arnel Ignacio, Simon Ibarra, Suzette Ranillo and the comeback movie of Sofia Valdez. Also, Kenneth Paul Salva, a member of The Hotmen has posed nude for photographer Ian Felix Alquiros.

If you want to watch the director's cut, you can catch it on January 21, 2012 (Saturday) at UP Cine Adarna. The screening will start at 7pm. Tickets cost 200Php.

This is an injustice committed by the committee who reviewed the film. The only reason cited by the committee was "the dominant theme of gay promiscuous behavior as a whole appeals to the prominent interest and satisfies only the craving for gratuitous sex as the scenes are numerous and extended."

However, the committee failed to consider the relevant subject and the artistic story telling. When asked what specific rules the movie violated, they cannot say any. When asked what specific scenes have to be revised, they cannot say any. When asked what the number of allowable bed scenes is, they cannot say any. When asked what the allowable length bed scene is, they cannot say any. With this, we doubt if the movie was properly reviewed.

However, we are confident that the movie will still be shown in the cinemas. In the meantime, we are appealing to MTRCB chairman, MS. MARY GRACE POE LLAMANZAREZ to reconsider the decision. The film follows young Rafael as he comes of age. The first half of the film takes place in the province, where Rafael is looking for his first sexual experiences.

His cousin’s girlfriend Suzette lusts after him, and makes a deal with his friend Vincent in order to get him into bed with her. As Rafael explores his sexuality, he gets wind of Vincent making money by prostituting himself to homosexuals.

The second half brings Rafael to Manila, where he stays with his friend Chandro. Chandro has eyes for Rafael as well, and it isn’t long before Rafael opens up to a completely different world.

Brendan Behan (Hatosy - who played the gay teen in In & Out) was a teen firebrand active in the Irish Republican Army during WWII.

When he was 17, he was sent on a bombing mission to Liverpool where he was apprehended by the police. The police beat him up pretty badly and threw him in a jail cell with a gay teen, Charlie Milwall (Dyer). Charlie goes to Brendan's bedside with a healing caress and kiss, which Brendan immediately rebuffs.

Both boys were sent to a reform school in hostile England where they were befriended by a liberal warden played by a youthful looking Michael York.

The school is packed with fresh faced Irish and English teenage boys and the expected sexual tension hovers over every scene. At first Brendan resists Charlie's charms insisting that he is "not quare" but gradually he warms to Charlie's charms and they tenderly kiss.

Brendan is also being courted by the warden's daughter and he slowly comes to realize that it is OK for him to love both boys and girls. Brendan's realization that he is in love with a boy rocks his world and sets a course for his writing throughout his career.

This tender story of two teenager's sexual coming of age in a working-class development in London is an inspiring, tender, emotional tale.

Jamie is a reserved teen, close to his pub manager mom, who prefers old Hollywood musicals to sports. His friendship with his hunky neighbor Ste, a fellow student who suffers through a troubled family life, soon develops into a sexual and eventually a loving relationship.

How the two boys tentatively handle their nascent sexual drives and how it affects their family and friends is handled in both a fresh and surprisingly upbeat fashion.

A wonderful comedy-drama and possibly the best coming out film to date.

One of the breakaway gay hits of 1999, Get Real is a sharply observed coming-of-age story infused with charm, humor, emotion and a knowing sense of the difficulties of being a gay teen.

Steven (Ben Silverstone) is a thin, pale-skinned, dark-haired 16-year-old living in the new British suburbia with his upper-middle class parents. Despite his youth, Steven knows that he is gay (since 11) and, although not open, experiments with sexuality at the local park men's room!

Life changes for the soft-spoken teen when he locks eyes on the school's strappingly handsome super-jock John (Brad Gorton). The two are attracted to each other, but John's self-hating fears of others finding out about his sexuality threatens to tear apart their tentative relationship.

There are several interesting supporting characters, including Charlotte Brittain as Steve's best friend and next-door-neighbor. Silverstone brings a wonderfully realistic and tender take on the teen who is not ashamed of being gay.

There are some failings in this mainly winning story -- the plot is too similar to Beautiful Thing, there are some unnecessary melodramatic excesses, having an over-weight female friend for comic relief is tired, the finale is clichéd and the film's look has a slickness that makes it less like and independent British film and more like a John Hughes flick of the '80s.

But complaints aside, this tale should charm and captivate any audience familiar with feelings of being different and an outsider.

The screenplay is by Patrick Wilde which is in turn based on his play, "What's Wrong with Angry?"

He divides his time between work and modeling.

Zac is being introduced in OMBRE, a digital gay movie, written and directed by Jonison Fontanos.

Hails from Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental, the 19-year old newbie actor is presently working in Manila as a Call Center rep.

Below is an interview with the up-and-coming indie actor Zac Ferrero.

1. Tell me a little about OMBRE. What can we expect?

Ombre tells the story of a chavacano boy named Jake na nanganagrap maging artista pero sa ibang daan nadala ng tadhana. Expect a passionate love story…

2. So what was it that drew you to the film?

The story, medyo kakaiba siya sa ibang gay love stories.

3. What does the title mean?

It means “man” or “boy” in Spanish. I play a chavacano boy here, so basically… ako ‘yung Ombre.

4. Tell us a little about your character in OMBRE.

Jake is a dreamer. Gustung-gusto niya maging artista sa pag-aakalang ‘yun ang magiging way ng pag-asenso niya.

5. So, how similar are you to him?

Para talagang ako. Pareho kaming ma-pangarap.

6. I’ve seen some sexy images from the film, do you mind getting your kit off onscreen?

To be honest I’m not used to it pero okay lang kasi it’s part of the movie and maganda yung story,

7. There are some great sex scenes in the film. Are they quite as sterile as actors make out?

Mahirap talaga ang mga sex scenes pero part ng movie kaya okay lang tsaka magaling ang direktor namin so magandalumabas ang mga shots.

8. How did you go about filming the sex scenes – what’s the process?

Nakakailang talaga kasi nga boy to boy yung sex scene. Nag-sensuality workshop kami with Lean Jurado.

9. How do you feel about the fact that there’s going to be a lot of guys lusting after you?

10. What would you say is your best asset and if you could change one thing about your body, what would it be?

My best asset is my eyes and wala ako gusto ipabago sa katawan ko kasi kuntento na ako sa kung ano ang bigay ng Diyos sa akin.

11. What was the most challenging scene for you to film?

Syempre ‘yung love scene po.

12. What about a scene or moment that you’re most proud of?

Mga drama scene and love scene kasi di lahat ng artista ngayon kaya yun. hehehe
